No, I get it. Pontiac guys are hardcore traditionalist's. I struggled with the LS idea but I made the right decision for me. I had to have the Pontiac valve covers though to wave the Poncho flag.

18 months!! not sure i could have been that patient.

in this color, the GA body reminds me a huge great white shark. wait until people start seeing this thing roll into car events.

what a fantastic build!

Oh trust me, I was not as patient as they would have liked. I had to make sure I was up there all the time so they stayed on it. Yes very excited to have it and working on it.

Unfortunately, that a common requirement. I pretty much had the same experience, and know others have as well at different shops. Squeaky wheel gets the oil.

I brag about this car to other folks in conversation/bench racing sessions, and has inspired me to do a 73/74. Hoping in the next couple years I will find a decent base for that project. I can only dream my project turns out this nice!

Got a few more thing's done on the GA. Set the ride height and installed the exhaust system. I finally get to see the tips when its at ride height. Waiting to see how much the rear bumper lowers the back end.

That shade of silver really makes the body lines stand out. The color is absolutely perfect for this car, you really nailed it. I went to the LS Fest last weekend, if this car had been there it would have stolen the show. Spectacular!

Thank you. I signed up for LS Fest. I was pretty bummed not to go. Hopefully they'll have another event next year and I'm definitely signing up.

I've been working on the GA trying to get small items finished. I mounted the Wilwood master cylinder for the manual brake set up. The factory upper hole in the brake pedal lines up perfectly to give me the required 6.25 pedal ratio. I also mounted the Jamar billet master cylinder for the clutch and all the stainless hard line for both. Not major steps but progress.

Yes. Keeping it very simple. I was happy to get rid of the hydroboost crap I had before.

Beautiful. The color is perfect. Love the contrast between the Pontiac engine paint and the gray.

What was wrong with hydroboost? I am looking into going with hydroboost in my build.

I didn't like the noise it made. It always had a low whirling sound. The pedal was always rock hard and did not have enough travel, it gave too much feedback in the pedal and steering when you really hammered the brake pedal. Too expensive as well. After driving a friends car with a correctly set up manual system, I decided to make it super simple.

Thanks for your input. I have driven hydro boost trucks and am aware of the noises and feeling in the steering wheel. Just gotta figure if it is something I want to deal with or not.

Thanks. Getting close. All the electrical is done. Building a fuel line to connect to the fuel rail. Will be bleeding the brakes and clutch this weekend, and then priming the motor. Will be making a video of initial start up.

I got lucky and found a '76 Grand LeMans on the LKQ wrecking yard site. Went out to pull some parts off. I needed some minor trim items. The car has probably been sitting for a long time. Found a flyer on the seat from 1995. Engine is untouched including every smog piece.
