70-73 Firebird 4 bolt upper radiator support panel ?
I am using an aftermarket aluminum radiator in my 72 firebird. (will be using electric fans)
In searching for a simple upper radiator support panel, steel or aluminum don't care, I cannot find one in the 4 bolt pattern. anyone know of one? wonder if the Chevelle 4 bolt one will fit? as popular as these cars are 70-81 I figured I would find a bunch of em. what are others using to support the radiator when using an aftermarket aluminum radiator? |

He has a march serp setup and is planning to use electric fans.
What I did was use 64-67 GTO lower rad brackets: https://www.ebay.com/i/332891737092?...SABEgLnKfD_BwE You can trim, shim, etc so they look factory. For the top plate, you have to make something. You can use simple 'L' brackets, or 'U' brackets, and you can even use the rubber isolators from the 64-67 GTO brackets, or other years. You can make a flat top plate, use another pair of the 64-67 GTO lower brackets, turned upside down, bolted to the flat top plate, or something similar. But just to say, you have to make something. If you know someone who has a sheet metal 'brake', then you can have a flat sheet of aluminum bent with a 90 degree lip and finish it off. Lot's of options. .

For now, I'm just using a simple strap, until I make a new top plate, but you can see how I did the shroud mounts with the thread-serts.
