Default “Big Game”

So who else doesn’t care or watch? Naturally I’ve heard who the playing teams are, but I could not name a coach or player among the two teams. I feel so un-American (?) right now.
But I’ll get over it. 🙂

Don’t care.

Never have.

To each their own.

Pro sports are all rigged anyway, it’s legal because they’re entertainment entities.

It was a good time to go get gas at Costco. Drove right up to the pump. Normally the store/pumps are packed on a Sunday afternoon

Don't even know which teams are playing, don't care. Their ratings went into the toilet, and they have no idea how to salvage the mess which they've created. Stuff like scripted wardrobe malfunctions aren't gonna cut it either.

The big one is a dud.

If it doesn't have 4 wheels, turns left at the end of the straightaway, and makes a nice hearty V8 roar, preferably on dirt, and also, I prefer 25 square foot wing on top of it, I'm not watching it, and never have.

Most people use it for an excuse to have a party, and drink too much, because their team won, or their team lost...... Then call in sick to work the next day.

Because I live in Ohio, it seems they take feetsball way too seriously here, OSU etc. I get people asking me all the time "whadya think of that game?" I say, "what game?" because I could care less.

Feetsball takes one ball, racing takes two............

I haven't paid any attention to sports for 35 years. Initially because I realized what a waste of time it was. Now, there are lots of other good reasons too.

I love football but seeing the same team win the AFC Championship and the super bowl on penalties kinda killed my vibe

What are you crying about? That was one of the cleanest officiated SBs in the last 20 years.
Even if the pass interference hadn't been called on that last drive, it just would have meant a longer FG for the Chiefs. Hell, they were trying NOT to score a TD on the last three plays for crying out loud.

I go to my 91 YO Dad's house to watch, generally with a couple of other family members.

My Dad's is 91 and in great health. I thank the Good Lord every day for his great health. I try to be with my Dad on all special occasions. His Dad died when he was 12. So I am blessed, in many ways.

That pregame line of CRAP about how great the NFL IS, AND HOW GREAT IT MAKES AMERICA, IS TOTAL B.S.

we all know why this country is great. Can't talk about it much here, But Thank You, Lord!!!

TRASHCAN, I agree.
I turned it on 30 minutes before kickoff, only because I didn't want to miss Chris Stapleton sing the National Anthem. And I like to watch the coin toss.
All the extronious fluff leading up to that was a put off. I had to keep changing the channel and checking back.

I never could stand FOX's over use of animated robot/transformer graphics and sound effects. They've been going at it for over thirty years and it's still add nausium. They must think nobody ever grows out of it.

All that being said, the GAME itself was very good.
I thought the Chiefs were all done when Mahomes re-aggravated his ankle injury in the 2nd quarter.

I enjoyed the game. As soon as the game clock hit zero, I turned the TV and went to bed.

Eagles fan since I was 8 years old. It was a good game overall high scoring. That pass interference call was BS and sealed the game for Chiefs. Without that call Eagles would have gotten ball back with around 2 minutes to possibly tie/win the game. In the end the Eagles defense was a big disappointment. Jalen Hurts proved his doubters wrong once again, he is one mentally tough dude.
Chris Stapleton did a real good job on the National Anthem and the flyover by the 4 American female fighter pilots. It doesn’t get anymore American than that.

Designing a new workshop (at my new home), so no time to watch much TV these days.

Never was a TV NASCAR or Sports fan. Did enjoy RED WING Hockey (at the local sports complex) for several years.

Would rather work on my own stuff vs watch someone else throw a "Ball around" (Baseball, Football, Basketball).
And, as was posted, the Half Time Shows really suck.

The commercials were at one time interesting. I did a Ford Super Bowl commercial about 10 years ago out in the
Nevada Hills (California) where Roy Rodgers, Gene Autry, and other Movies were filmed.

We actually pulled a Tour Bus out of a ditch for the commercial.
(Then the other guys had to pull a Titanic ship, and the reality went to H*ll like the phony Costume Malfunctions).
Even a newer commercial where a Train is pulled with a Electric Vehicle is a STRETCH.

So I will stick with working on my own stuff. Sorry for the long explanation.

Tom V.
