Default Radiator Paint

What is everyone using for radiator paint these days. Looking for a gloss black.
Whatever the radiator shop used when they rebuilt mine, didn't last.

Haven’t used it for years, but I bought some from Eastwood way back. Just a real thinned out version of gloss black paint.

Use a very good quality enamel paint like VHT 504.

Agreed - a few lift coats of quality enamel on core

The last time I wanted an aluminum radiator black, I had it anodized. Have not used this ever, but seems like it should work.

Krylon or Rustoleum enamel works fine.

I used Rustoleum semi-gloss barbeque paint on the Radiator and AC Condenser. Home Depot had both semi-gloss and flat.

I'd imagine satin black is closer to what stock radiators and radiator shops use, but gloss is nice too for a tidy engine bay.

More specific, I'm looking to repaint the top tank only. And it's got brass tanks. Not Aluminum
Thanks

Here’s what I used on my 68. Satin for the radiator. Gloss for the cover/finger guard

I first used the radiator aerosol paint sold by Eastwood and did not like how it came out. Don't know if I got a bad can or what, but it was kinda roughly textured and much more matte than it should be. I later sprayed over it with Dupli-Color engine enamel w/ceramic (semi-gloss) and it looks excellent and has held up really well.

Radiator should be Gloss Black.

I used a gloss rustoleum
but it was a true enamel that took forever to dry just like the original stuff . I restored my RAIv radiator and wanted it to look just like the pictures when it was new and it does. Spot on .
