Default best hand held scan tool?

im looking for a scan tool that can read IAC counts as well as a host of other sensors..tell me which ones are going bad, etc...anyone have a good recommendation on a hand held scan tool? thanks!

1996 OBDII and up, yes..GM..looking for a scan tool that will read sensor values/counts..like the IAC counts. thanks

I have this one and it gives you what your asking about, plus it lists the most common repairs for each code. I paid just a little less than this price about a year and a half ago so this is a pretty good price (1/2 off list) and free shipping. There's reviews you can read on Amazon about it.

if you have a laptop or PDA you can use autotap for about that same price.
what I like about that is the ability to do data logging

yes I have auto tap and use it on my laptop
also have a snap on scanner I use for code work and ABS stuff
