'68+ valley pan on a '67?
What is the difference and should I exchange for a 64-67 or can I use the 68+ valley pan?

If you want to keep the engine all original with the’67 intake and ‘67 PCV setup then you’re going to need the matching valley pan.

Well the valley pans on the pre 1967 motors (326,389,421) are lower in the front and have the pcv valve in the the rear.
The lower pan height in the front means the Intake Manifold runs a tad cooler due to more air passing under it and the front mounted PCV can be made to work with any Carb set up and is needed to run trip's. The only down side with a Q jet Carb is more exposed 3/8" hose if you run it top side.

The low-profile Valley pan is waaaay cool on any year engine.
PMD made the double Pyramid Valley to improve exhaust gas condensation, to extend oil life. Valley was designed to build-up gunkNjunk internally. Nowadays, we have better oils and fuels so no gunkNjunk. Go low Profile. How do i know... |
