Default My Moser 12 Bolt Swap, Auto, Driveshaft and Part # Info Inside

Here are some things I'll pass on...

1969 GTO, had 8.2 rear end

Moser 12 Bolt, 3:70 gear, 11" Wilwood brakes, no back brace, powercoated, 33 spline Truetrac, stock axle length = $6000

IF you frame notch or tub etc, you must be very clear with them you did this if you ask for a 1 to 2" housing shortening/chop. They have a great online form but this area of the form sucks, no details on drop-down, they called my shop and changed my GN 9" order because they assumed I ordered it wrong, they cost me $800 in powdercoating on their error, they won't take blame and you'll have to make a hard choice, eat it or bail.

Truetrac needs Sae 80w-90 heavy duty gear oil
Part #: 10043

TH400 trans needed a 57.5" long driveshaft, factory won't fit.

PST 3.5" Aluminum was $575, was 1 full week from order to make, ship, receive.
3" steel vs 3.5" Aluminum is 22lbs vs 15lbs, 7lb drop here is nice.

You'll need the UMI 5" ID, DS safety loop for 3.5" + DS
https://www.umiperformance.com/home/...t-safety-loop/

Rear Shocks need the 1" bearing due to narrow mount Moser bracket offers, Viking has them, $25.

I'll drive it again soon after a disastrous 2023 engine mess, this should be plenty to handle my power level and way more.

Can you elaborate about the shock bearings? I'm noticing my Bilstein shocks ride pretty close to the rear end housing with the Moser rear.

These are more narrow to fit into the brackets better, I run Viking so that is the part number above. $25 through Viking.

Are those for the coilover brackets or traditional shocks? I was thinking I needed something to move the shock away from the axle a little bit.

Viking Berzerker, Double Adjustable Coilovers.

I tried the BMR bracket but it won't work. I'm getting a custom bracket made for this later, inside mounting too.

I have regular shocks bolted directly to the rear end so I think what I have going on is a different. They aren't rubbing, just a little too close for comfort. For now I added a washer between the shock mount and the rear end.
