Hey
I have just bought a 1971 350ci Oldsmobile for my 1978 T/A, it is completely stock besides the Hedmen headers, its is rated to 260bhp am told but the engine needs a new carb. I would like to know what would be a good carb to go for? The car is intended use as a daily driver with the odd trip down the strip, and I love to rip away from the lights when racing the British and Japinesse cars down the street.(Scotland, UK)
I have a brand new Holley 750cfm Vac Sec that i was going to use on the original Pontiac 400 motor before the piston rings went. I also have the original Q-jet from it, would either of these carbs be any use or are they to big? Or should i go for a 600cfm Edelbrock?
I've always fancied a Double Pumper but are they really worth the extra petrol? I am intending to use an 1" spacer if that makes any difference?
On a different subject does anyone know what the intail timing on the 1971 350ci Olds is?
And
Will Pontiac 400 headers fit on to a 350 olds or will there be some modification required?
Thanks for any help
Cheers
