From surfing the Tech Forum it seems that a Hyd. roller cam assembly is a definate H.P. booster. Could 1 or more knowledgable persons offer advice on a Hyd. roller cam for a 67 400 c.i. motor I'm building. I want a strong street motor that will run on pump premium gas. I'm also open to suggestions for carb, intake, compression, headers, since I have not bought any of the above. How much extra H.P. will be generated by a roller? Do they come with matched pushrods and rockers? If not please comment on these choices as well. Are there any negatives to a roller cam? How would a roller stack up against a SPC3 #744 cam? Mike

Mike, When I get home from work tonight I will post all of the information on the engine. Hopefully I can post the head flow sheet and the dyno sheet also. Amy brought home a new HP printer last night and I spent most of the night playing with it and the digital camera  I guess I have to take a photo of the sheet and down load it to the computor??? Tom

Mike, sorry I did not answer your question about pushrods, no you do not get pushrods or rocker arms when you buy a roller cam. I made a pushrod length checker. I took a stock pushrod and cut 1" out the middle then taped the inside of both ends 1/4-20 and used 2" long piece of all thread. I ended up with 8.800 long Comp Cam custom Chrome-moly 5/16. Tom
