I am posting this message to alert people about the poor customer service at Auto Instruments in Virginia.

http://www.autoinstruments.com/

They advertise a plastic chrome service, and I sent them parts in early April. My credit card was charged, and I was told a 5 to 6 week turn time.

E-mails in regard to status were not responded to, and phone calls are no better, as the people who answer the phones do not the status.

Then, I was transferred to the shop manager who tells me every week that the parts will be shipped, and they have not....3 times so far.

Do not waste your time or money with these people unless you want to be frustrated and pissed off.

I just saw my442's post and wanted to add that I had the same problem when I sent them a tach to be repaired from my 68 AMX. After 6 months and many phone calls I was finally able to get it back unrepaired and in the same box and packing that I sent it in. This was after I was told numerous times it was nearly done and I would be receiving it shortly.
Others have had better luck but this was my experience.

I wanted to post my continued nightmare experience with Auto Instuments in Collinsville, Virginia.

www.autoinstuments.com

They have my parts and my money, and they have given me at least 5 excuses on why they are many weeks late on the promised delivery.

The owner, Gentry Zentmeyer, also made a bunch of excuses as well.

The folks that answer the phone will lie to you, or not respond.

Truly a really bad experience, bad enough that I filed a complaint with the Virgina Consumer Affairs office.

All I can say is "Caveat Emptor"....let the buyer beware.
