1967 Tempest, I am trying to use the same fan you have on the wagon. I have the T-Bird fan and can't make enough space to fit it in. I have a 64 Tempest wagon and exactly 4 inches from water pump nose to core. I am pulling the rad all the way forward and can't use this fan. I have a downflow rad and you have a crossflow. I think the tanks on mine are the problem. They keep the fan further back. Do you know the distance from your core to pump nose? Also, what radiator is that? Thanks for the help. Mark

"2 Tempest's in the barn 4 more to attain!" I'm confused. You have two: the two door and the wagon. You're wanting the convertible and four door. What are the other two you want?

This is Al (goatwgn) with the '66 Tempest Custom wagon. I saw a few threads where you changed your camshaft a while back. Although I have driven this car for 30 years, I have never changed the cam with the engine still in the car. I have had this 041 cam in there for about 2 years. Though it is fun when I "get on it" I am less than thrilled with the driveability and the idle quality-even in this 455. I hate Rhodes Lifters, (I like a quiet engine,) therefore I am considering changing cams again. But I dont want to take the engine out of the car, unless necessary. Does your car have AC? How long and how much of a hassle was it to change your cam? I am looking to get a cam I can idle down to the 500rpm range with the ac on. I was thinking about the 068 grind. I have 4x heads and 9.5 to 1 compression. Would like your opinion. Thanks>

Hey Dave, Where in Sparta are you located? I lived there from 1967-1981 up in the Alpine section on Tennis Terrace. I haven't been back through there since 1993 though. Used to camp in the Glen quite a bit. I bet it has all changed now.
