Hi Mike,
I apparently don't understand the functions of this site - I just discovered your message!!! 'Sorry . . .
I am planning to be in Norwalk. 'No Tempest however.
You have a striking resemblance to Carl Childers - where do you shop for fashions?
Actually . . . I don't own the Boxter - my wife does! I have an M-Roadster which is an excellent distraction!
I will, in the future, check my mail more often.
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,
My Dad is at Norwalk every year (along with my brothers and my Uncles). I didn't make it to the 2012 event, but the rest of the gang did. I guess they took two cars last year (both 63's) a GP and a Lemans. The GP had carb issues, and I heard they just could not get it to run right. The Lemans ran solid again despite the junk heads. I hope to make it this year with my 67 bird, but I have to come up from Wilmington NC. I will probably show with or without my car.
I see you have a Tempest and a Porsche. That's one hell of a combo. Did you bring your car last year?
Anyway, it was nice to meet you.
Mike

I'm new to the PY forum and unfamilliar with it's operating system but would be keen to discover a '63 Tempest that belonged to me until May of 1967. I owed some money on the repair of the engine and since I was to deploy to SE Asia at the end of that month, my older brother took the responsibility of that debt and IF I returned, I was to repay him. I went to Asia . . . and the car went to Overland Park, Kansas. In July of that year, I received a letter about things which were happening in his life . . . at the end of which he announced that he had just purchased a new G.T.0. and . . . bye the way . . . "I traded your car in on it" . . . !!! I never saw the '63 again. I can say that I was less than happy!! ANYWAY . . . the VIN # is 163 P 173 739. It was medium-blue metallic/3-speed manual trans/3 x 2's with a Bobcat Kit. At the time it had Magnum 500's and Redlines along with the Bobcat emblem on the trunk replacing the 326 emblem. I realize this is a reach across time but it never hurts to try. If this still exists, I have a few pictures of the car which the present owner might like to have. Thanks
