When our co-op did a lobby revamp, we held a design workshop where residents sketched floor marker ideas on mood boards, then we narrowed choices to three mockups. We ordered sample plates from a store that offers both metal and acrylic options, then let people vote. Check out the sample range here:
click here. Their floor plates come in brushed steel, frosted acrylic, and even walnut finishes. We settled on frosted panels with bold numerals and colored underlays—each floor got its own accent hue for the floor number signs. It was great to see everyone’s input, and the final installation looked polished. Plus, materials have held up beautifully to elevator traffic and cleaning.
