Despite some early factory literature to the contrary 68 was the last year for any sort of floor shift in that era. 69 fullsize was choice of auto or manual 3speed both on the tree only.

I know I wouldn't do it, because I have a stick shift in my daily driver Volvo
and I think it's quite boring shifting...
