Pretty much everything needed for short block, is included. Only thing I can think of that I need to order if o keep it is rear seal of your choice and head gaskets
I have a set of hiports at the shop being looked over and a set of tigers fresh from the shop. If you buy the short block you will have first choice of cylinder heads and I will keep the others.
Hiports shouldn’t be too long before done. When they are I will make a decision on which motor is going in my gto and this aluminum motor may no longer be available

All depends on head Cc head gasket thickness and diameter
But we are planning on 14+ W 65cc heads

Thanks, currently have an iron IAII with hi ports in my 66 GTO but want to go all Aluminum. This is very cool but probably too much for what I’m trying to do in a predominantly street driven car

had a question on what is included for $17000 this is the description.
that is priced wo any heads $17000 gets you head gaskets to pan rail. no oil pan no push rods, but everything else in between. you get fully machined aluminum block ready to assemble, ross pistons grp/mgp rods BWE rings hung on rods, scat stroked crank, rod and main bearings, 55mm comp cam shaft, crower 903 bushed lifters, butler oil pump, sims timing chain, used pontiac timing cover, cometic head gaskets w water holes, if you are going to use these gaskets, water holes will need to be added to block deck surface. this will go to 9000 rpm if you want
machine work was over $4000 alone.
540 is back in the car now, new IA2 block is in garage, most likely switching to pressurized, pump gas combo in next few years, is only reason to not keep this set up. will consider trades
