Torqstorm TS-75 SC Supercharger, Anyone?

These new bigger models seem like a real worthwhile investment if you're looking for like 750-800tq. Their TS-75 at 75mm compressor and their new compressor cover I'd imagine if I'm at 610tq N/A now on pump then on E30+ stuffing 6psi on top should get closer to 750tq for sure.

I'm Holley Hp, boost reference fuel reg and flexfuel control.
I'd figure pull 1 degree per psi and 6psi should get me my 750-800tq.

Anyone got the new Torqstorm Sc's?

I don't have one but it looks like a reasonable option. Butler has it on their site about $3600. One review below. Add an intake pipe to keep from drawing in hot air from the exhaust and add an intercooler.
Based on Butler recommendations, your 11.7:1 compression is "too high". They are recommending it be in the "9s" to 1. E-85 may help but I would defer to the real experts. Nice engine combo, must be a blast to drive.

I have seen someone swap out the 75 for an 84 on their newer Hemi. I believe the boost was about 12 with the 74 and just under 20 with the 84.

10.50s@125 mph with a 75. 10.10s@132mph with an 84, I think he will get into the high 9s with the 84. That is, if he doesn’t break the engine.

The 84 would be great on that motor. You may already know all this, but - It’s worth it to step up to a size bigger than you originally want so you don’t run out of room. Definitely run an intercooler since you have EFI. A2W will pull heat out better than A2A and you have room to package one under your hood. You can see where I put mine on my TA in this pic. I may have to change the 90* fitting. Don’t have the motor back yet to check. I cut the inner fender and still need to massage it a bit. People seem to be real happy with Torqstorm.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e4caa5c880.jpg

Ya they said go T84 so it's easy 800tq on less boost. And since it's belt driven it's not like a turbo where the peak flow comes in later on bigger wheels so I'll go T84.

Since I'm E85 and maybe only need 8psi to hit 750-800tq from 610tq now I'll just ditch the intercooler. Having two cars with W2A ICs already is a huge PIA, radiator, fan, pump, lines, fittings, junction fill and sensors etc all suck. LOL

Also glad Moser made an error and gave me the 33 spline upgrade for free. Hahaha

Getting ready to bring my 69 Bird Home for an engine swap. I have an 84mm head unit (non R) with 3.10 pulley. Chris recommended that I up my BOV to the new larger BOV. They are not so good in the marketing department so unless you join Facebook communities, little to no info on these new units is out there.

I just picked up my short block and it’s ready to hopefully make 20+ psi. 455” - started with a ‘70 400 4 bolt block filled to bottom of freeze plugs and installed billet caps and billet front cap for the extra load on pulleys. O-ringed block. Kauffman put together my rotating assembly based on some NOS 6.800” Aluminum Superods, Eagle 4.21” crank, Ross 4.155” dished pistons. Running Kauffman 80cc heads with 9.5:1 static. Northwind intake with C&S 900 Aerosol Blow Through e85 Carb with dual needle and seat bowls. I’m using belt driven fuel pump. Titan pump and Stefs 1240 pan. Hyd roller 248/254 @ .050”, .608” lift, 108ls. I hope it makes over 900. Im using a Innovators West balancer with 4 magnets, the ATI pushes the belt out of alignment so consider this - IW balancer also has 4 bolt to match the Crank Pulley.

Corey “Big Mitts” makes my 6.800” rod look small. Lmao

T84 $5800

GOAT8U2 07-17-2025 01:04 PM

At big boost the o ring head is nice. I'm hoping low 10psi range on E50 and a great tune no issues on HG blowing.

That BOV is 75mm damn huge.

When you install the carb hat curious to see it on the northwind and hood clearance.

That’s more $ than I expected

Have you considered a Vortech YSI with Luhn Pontiac brackets? We ran a YSI on my friends Buick 455 for years and it was super reliable, fast, and fun.

Ya I had Mark do my efi like 2016.

I haven't really looked into all that but the nice thing about Torqstorm is all parts and tech support is 1 guy and I'll assume it's close in all in total price,.

SC, brackets, pulleys, hat, BOV, piping, hoses, clamps etc.

I'll check though just to see options and value. Thanks

Where did you get that price? I’ve not found much online and TS marketing is horrible. I pad $3300 for my Ts-84 head unit new without brackets. I’d assume that’s a kit price?

Talking with Chris from Torqstorm, great communication.

Complete bolt on T84 kit, $5800.
SC, brackets, pulleys, belts, BOV, hat, filter and clamps.

Cheaper to hit 800tq this way vs bigger heads and more cubes in an Aluminum Block.

performerrpm 07-19-2025 03:56 PM

how does this compare to say a procharger or vortec route?

i'm wanting to do one or the other on one of my builds after i finish my roots build.

i know there different animals but my smallish vortec v3 sci trim supercharger managed 653rwhp @ 11# on a 5.7ls1. i still have room to pulley down but im at the limit of my 70k stock short block. the power is really smooth in that car yet uncontrollable on the top end with street tire which is a blast...i been wanting to go ti trim vortec on my pontiac or f1x procharged....800hp with one of these is considerably cheaper than the others. at that level

GOAT8U2 07-19-2025 04:08 PM

Butler shows Torqstorms and just the Procharger F1a heads no brackets.

You need a compressor that can flow enough to hit 800hp so the small SC and even the T75 was a bit small to do that without stressing the SC and possibly over spinning etc.

Street tires and torque are a mess and dangerous, I'm spinning my 295/55/15 SS and at least they'll grab after a second etc. Street R is really the only way to lay down this torque on the street but no rain and the Pro Radial is just a slick in disguise.

performerrpm 07-19-2025 04:42 PM

i like the bracket butler has, but theres another site called the supercharger store that has several pontiac kits with different head units. f1x was an option there.

there was a guy had a ysi crank driven kit on fb for sell. have to use an am block in order for it to bolt up tho. .

GOAT8U2 07-19-2025 04:48 PM

I think the Butler bracket is Mark Luhn, where'd you see this bracket on Butler?

performerrpm 07-19-2025 05:18 PM

the only butker bracket ive seen was last year a guy had a complete kit for sale for 6500...i was kinda butthurt i missed it and it was pending when i found it.

i know my vortec seems easy on parts, do you guys think the centrifigal units are easy on parts like the turbos? or somewhere inbetween roots type violence and turbos? 8ve got it in mind that 7-800 is risky wifh my 871 on stock block....where maybee 1k is ok with a procgarger/vortec, and now torque storm

Curious George 07-23-2025 09:09 AM

Super cool Nacs Fab!

GOAT8U2 08-19-2025 03:52 PM

Tom on here has stated if you're near or over 800hp on a stock block go 4 bolt and keep the rpms lower to possibly relieve some stress for the block splitting. Makes sense you'd stay under 6k for sure on a 3" or 3.25" main and pray. LOL

I'm prepping for the SC, HR Parts rear bar, move shocks in to 100% vertical and see how the car hooks here. Possibly try Hoosier DR2 vs my MT SS and if the car can hook the current power plan B over the winter can happen.

Otherwise if I can't hook 620tq now what's 800tq gonna help, only ego to say it makes 800tq.

GOAT8U2 03-06-2026 05:26 PM

Anyone do a Winter upgrade on a Torq 75 or 84?

The 84s are making crazy power on other platforms, I'm finalizing my list of things to have settled first before I jump so I'm probably early Winter 2026 now on an 84, probably 4" pulley since I want around 800tq (engine) on the stock block w 4 bolt.

Order it with the 3.1 Pulley, I am using a stock block filled with Billet Caps and I'm gonna let her Sing! I'm in the plumbing phase on my Build so I should have it fired up end of this month (March 2026).

GOAT8U2 03-10-2026 11:14 AM

Cool hit us back when you get it tuned and ripping.

The 3.1 pulley would be like 14+ psi and I'm already 610tq and 11.7 compression so that sounds like a stock block buster for sure, I'd drive around with a broom in the trunk. LOL

I'm just looking to get near 800tq so probably 6-8psi will do that on an 84mm for me. You guys get to push the limit and let us know what you think. The main issue is the compressor bracket install and belt alignment so you don't shred/ throw belts. Green belt or black belt etc.

GOAT8U2 04-12-2026 12:54 PM

Nacs Fab, any updates?

blueghoast 04-13-2026 12:50 AM

I'm an alluminium rod fan for the street. just saying.
Sounds bad ass either way, have fun.

I am getting ready to fire mine up hopefully by the weekend. I upgraded a ton of stuff on the car during the engine install so, it takes time getting everything dialed in. Ill definitely be putting it on a chassis dyno this spring and ill post numbers for you and once it fires, ill post up video.

Anyone on Facebook, check out the latest Video by Kauffmann Racing Equipment. 535 with Hi Ports and 84mm Torqstorm & 3.5 pulley made 964HP/885 TQ on 8psi! I knew these Torqstorms were capable of power!

I have the same inquiries, I friended the Guy who is having the engine done. He had Kauffmann pick both static compression and camshaft, so Ill pass along specs.

GOAT8U2 04-20-2026 12:56 PM

The head cfm and intake will give us an idea of what the 3.5 pulley will push that SC 84mm psi level too. If he's as cast High Ports and unported Victor then we got a solid idea but if he's 360cfm at .600 with a ported Northwind etc then most likely that 3.5 pulley is much higher psi for us as cast HP guys which is around 320cfm @ .600 and T2 intake.
