Of forged trw Speed pro or 4.120 take outs on rods but will consider all as long as the do not have domes Also Want one or two factory 9787610 out of a 70 yd 400 or equivalent |

Any chance you can get the part number off them? Also if you do handle them, can you confirm they are both 5/64 rings? I’m have a set of 68 pistons that have 3/32 second rings and 5/64 tops I had never noticed this in a

P/ns are 9787610. Don’t have the rings, but the pistons measured at 0.0825 top and 0.0785 2nd

Soooo will 1 factory 1970 400 piston allow you to reach a goal, i saved 1 from my 400 for some reason, i would have to look for a P/N

pulled the piston off the wall was hanging on a BME rod
top and second groove are the same size ran a piece of old ring around both grooves no tight spots appears to be your part number there is some unexplained handeling gouges on the botton of one skirt just knock down high spots should work fine also have a good original pin can go with i never figured on using it again, its yours for shipping if you want it |

Sooo....I'm supposed to be opening up a 400 that is in a 1970 GTO YS. Very well cared for, compression is still strong on all 8, the engine has never been in to. If we decide to do a full rebuild there would be 8 GM pistons available, unless they can be ringed I guess. Would be in a couple of weeks if this goes as planned...
