I have been considering this swap as well. You need new motor mounts, a complete engine fan to fly wheel. None of the brakets will work from other engines(as far as I know). You may have some shaker hood scoop clearance so you either have to make sure you dont go too high, attaching the scoop the hood, or getting a non shaker hood.

The bolt pattern on the chevy is different than a BOP. if you have a 4 speed then a new bellhousing is in order or a new auto tranny.

I was going to go with the chevy but after finding out that a mild rebuild between the chevy and a pontiac 400 is $250(sealed power). Not only will the 400 give you more torqe and HP is will be a pontiac in a pontiac...you get ALOT of sh$% from people for sticking a chevy in there.

unbolt the factory motor mounts from the frame.flip them over and use the other set of 3 holes in the crossmember.
the mounts are the same for big block and small block. reroute the fuel linesto the passanger side and extend the starter wires and battery cables

It's easy. Sell the T/A to a Pontiac guy and buy a Camaro http://pysales.com/images/spank.gif
