Should be a recessed male spade terminal in your factory fuse block, it's marked "accesory". Use it, but be sure & use a fuse or fusible link of sufficient amperage to protect the circuit.
This circuit should be an ignition hot circuit, which means it's hot when the ignition is on.

Easiest and most convienent is to go to the wiper motor. There is a lead that is energized anytime the key is "on"......Cliff

I have found the cigarette lighter to be a good place to get a heavy duty/already fused wire from. (unless you still use it & that's another topic!!)-- Bill --Be careful though, as this ones always "HOT".

You need a feed that is ONLY LIVE WHEN the IGNITION is ON. Not live when accessory is on or battery voltage is live. You dont want the choke to be live when you are sitting there with the ignition key turned to accessory and listening to the radio. Also if you use battery voltage the choke will never close and will run down the battery with the key off.

The factory uses the keyed hot wire going to the alternator. It should be the F wire on external regulator years and the (heavier) red (hot wire with key on) I think termanal #1 on the internal years.

What tiacguy said. Keyed hotwire from alt is the correct place for electric choke
