To my knowledge, all '67s had mono leafs but people were converting to multi leaf even in the 1970s so your car was probably converted.

I HAVE A 67FIREBIRD IT ONLY HAS 1 SPRING AND 2 TRATION MASTERS IT IS A ORIGINAL 400 CAR

Sounds like Hotchkis leaf springs. They work with Mono perches but give you three leafs. Aftermarket in any case. Cool! Best of both setups. Just need the other traction arm.

When I said I had one traction bar, I should have said that I had a rear axle radius rod. I know that chevy put them on 67 z28 and 396 to help with wheel hop. Were they also used on firebirds?

Yes the '67 Firebirds had a single bar for all models except the 400 which had two, due to the single leaf spring and inline shocks.

In '68 Pontiac went to the multi leaf spring, stagered shocks, and eliminated the bar on the FB's.

The 67 Birds camewith the rods from the factory.All v-8 cars rceived a single bar on the passenger side.The 400 cars got one bar if it was an automatic and two bars were installed on four speed cars.All 67 Birds had mono leaf springs and inline shocks(both mounted on the sameside of the rear end housing).Hope this helps.Even the ram air automatic cas only got the one bar.

I am glad you brought this up!!!! I just picked up a 67 326 convertable and i thought someone might have removed the left side trailing arm??? that is the weirdest setup i have ever seen!!!!

Another poosibility, I saw in the good old JC Whitney catalog that they offer a 3 leaf replacement for mono springs for 68-72 Nova.
