What is the best front disc brake upgrade for the second generation Trans Am? I plan to retain the 15x7 Honeycombs on my '71 but would like to use 2 piston calipers. All responses are apreciated.

Since you want to retain the 15" wheels, you are limited to the disc size. I would check out Global West. They offer a 4 piston caliper and various disc sizes to fit whatever wheel (even 14's) and they will bolt up to your stock spindle.

LT:

What problems/shortcomings are you encountering currently that gives you cause to want to "upgrade?"

Wilwood has a trick bolt on kit with 4piston calipers, aluminum hubs, and vented rotors, and can use 15" wheel. Check out their site wilwood.com

You might also check out Baer Racing at 602-233-1411. They have a SS/Drag version with 12-in. front rotors for 15-in. wheels feature PBR calipers. With the bolt-in kit you will also get about a 20 lb.weight savings.
