I have been thinging about this and the only thing I can think of is to carfully remove the wires from the connector and then put some shrink wrap over them and try to hide them in the harness. Or, cut the wires off close to the harness and twist them under so you can't see them. Other than that, try calling the people you got the harness from and see if they would give you a trade in value for the right one, or just get the right one and sell that one on eBay.
Good luck. Jack http://home1.gte.net/res04f0d/images...se_EFI_GTO.jpg TigerEFI.com (Classic Pontiac Fuel Injection) [email protected] Motto: Build it for NASA and drive it like you stole it! |
first, thanks for the reply jack.....i did call m&h yesterday, and their reply was to order an adapter for this purpose...goes from the 3 prong female to a single prong temp sender for gauges...wont be right, but, guess its the best solution

I bought my temp sender for my 70 GTO(w/gauges) at napa and it came with the connector to slide a wire into it. I removed the green wire from the 3 prong plug and snapped it into this plug and that was it. I just left the plug with the 2 remaining unused wires aside and will probably end up removing the plug and taping the ends into the harness. Hope this helps some..

if you want it to look original why not get the 3 prong tcs sensor( one that doe`nt work is o/k) plug the 3 prong connector to the adapter and the other end of the plug to the sensor then hook up the other wire for your temp sending unit (if your using a stock intake there is two holes on the intake one for the tcs and one for the temp sending unit) and it will look abslutly original!
