I replaced the front coil springs on my 67 GTO a couple years ago, when both the motor and front clip was removed. Now that the car is almost finished, I've developed a sag in one of the springs. I've heard where a "preloading" condition could exist, whereby the sagging spring is actually correct and the opposite side is too high (preloaded). Both springs are seated correctly. Moog is the manufacturer of the springs. Anyone have any experience with this preloading condition? How do you correct it? Re-installation?

Loosen the upper control arm shaft bolts and lower control arm mounting bolts to free everything up , the bushings have little jagged teeth that bite into the metal and need to be released-and than jounce the front suspension , push up and down on it a few good times.that should settle everything to its proper position.
Measure ride height first , than check after to see if it's moved.

Remember that all bushed suspension nuts and bolts should be torqued to spec with car at curb ride height (all weight of car and engine on the suspension).

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Given what I DIDN'T do during the installation process, these seem to make a whole lot of sense. I'll give them a try this weekend.

I replaced fronts with moog also, remember there being a left & right side spring as well as top & bottom. they were marked I believe with a dab of white paint. could be, if your car has a/c it will settle to proper ride height with install of motor.
