Help on 64 GTO Code Numbers
 

Hello,
I'm looking at purchasing a 64 GTO Hardtop that has been sitting for about 3 years. It is in decent shape with no major body work required and only a small amount of rust on the right rear quarter panel. If purchased, I would consider doing a frame on or perhaps frame off restoration. I need a little help on some of the code on the firewall such as: Body PO16739, ACC 1E-5N-50 and TRIM 214. The car is a 3 carb car with a Hurst Shifter. The paint code is W which indicates that it should be Nocturne Blue but the car has been repainted a rust color or perhaps it was red when repainted. Also, any idea on what kind of price I should be paying considering that the mechanical components are all okay and no engine, transmission work would be required.

You might want to post this to the 64-65 GTO/Lemans section for more responses.

That being said, based on the condion stated, I would venture a guess that you are looking in the 10k range (+/- one or two thousand) as a fair price for something like that. Pictures (especially detailed ones) would help a lot.
