1970 GTO Hood alignment
 

My 1970 GTO Hood lines up everywhere except it will be alittle high in the middle of the hood where it meets the middle of the endura nose. I have seen others with this problem. DId my nose shrink? I would say I need to adjust the hood but it fits perfect everywhere else and it is a real GTO hood. What do you guys think? Thanks James

I know if I shut mine a little harder it will close further in this area. only other thing I can think to do would be to raise or cock bumper slightly. good luck.

Same here, mine wants to sit slightly high - If I close it harder, the latch has a 'ratchet' that will hold it down. Seems brutal, but that works for me.

On my '70 Le Mans, I can adjust the plastic nose piece that sits above the chrome bumper slightly by loosening bolts and moving the center of the nose up, then tightening the bolts, but there's not much adjustment available.

Another alternative would be to shim the latch lower. You can't really see the shims if placed or painted correctly. That way you won't have to kill the hood for a good fit.
