350 max rebore
Can anyone tell me what the max rebore is on a Pontiac 350 ?Also, are the rods the same as a 400?
|
Not sure on the max bore but the rods are all the same except the 301 i believe 326-455 are the same if i'm wrong some one correct me

Max rebore on a P350 is .060 from stock bore of 3.875 would be 3.935", or 365 CID. All 326-455 engines had 6.625" long connecting rods. The 326-350-('66) 389-400 cranks are the same measurements too, but would require rebalancing to swap between engines.

Here's an article I found. Anyone know the results?

Actually, a couple of people on CP cut up a couple of blocks and all of them appear to have the same overall wall thickness, so a 350 block in theory should be bore-able to around 4.12". I'm not sure if anyone has tried it yet, though, and core shift could cause problems.
