seperating trans from rearend?
 

trying to remove the autotrans section from rearend for just jay. The torque tube had 6 bolts removed torque tube Then removed cap on torque conv. removed wire ring removed conv. Then removed 4 bolts holding aluminum part to rear section. Now it is loose rotationally but wont seperate before trying force? clip or something im missing? thanks Rod

Cant remember if you have to remove the speedo drive or the governor?? 1 or both have to come out. The tech manual is not real clear on this. After much reading through 3 different tech manuals, pull the governor out of the trans!!

thanks mechanickieth removing the govener allowed it to slide right apart no force nessecary. thanks again. Rod
