drip moulding removal
ok so i figured out that is what it is called. the chrome piece around the window. i pulled the rubbers seal out and removed the screws. it still wont come off.....its like it is glued in. i need to get this thing off before i take the car to be blasted.

That's not the drip rail moulding. It's the window seal moulding. The chrome piece is stuck in with black sealer(like 3M sealer). You'll have to use a putty knife to slowly pry it loose. The stainless is pretty thin, go slow. Sorry on an F body it might be a comb deal. On my A body it's separate.

two separate pieces, the vertical chrome and the horizontal drip rail. if you've gotten the seal out of the channel, and the channel piece off, make sure the chrome is cleaned off and not hiding any rivets or screws up in the corner before you attempt to pry it off. with the optional decor package, there are 3 pieces, the seal, the channel frame and the chrome. if you have access to a heat gun, use that, or use a hair dryer and get it nice and hot to soften up the sealer, if that's what's there.
