4 speed
 
i wana put a 4 speed in a firebird and need to know where to put the hole for the shifter.

Hey JVP, this diagram must be for 68 and 69, right ? I once converted a 67 from 4 speed to automatic and the hole was the very same, and I think this stands true for 67 Camaro as well, is my memory right ? If 79bluebird has a 67, maybe he does not have to modify anything. Frank.

If you presently have an automatic in the floor, then the hole is exactly the same as a manual transmission. Even the screw holes for the boot and trim are the same. No cutting is required. TMy car is a 67 Firebird.
