69 GTO Front Spindle Fasteners specs
 
Hey guys I am knee deep in Judge suspension now, and have a few questions. I have been looking in my 69 Service manual as well as my book from Paul Z. Basically the frame has been disassembled for years and I am haveing a hard time correct bolt placement. Does anyone have a good explosion with the key on the side which describes the bolts. I have one for a front drum car, but not one for the disc.
Also, when I install my zirk fittings for my new upper and lower ball joints, do the angled zirks go on top and straights on the bootom or do I have that flip flopped. Thanks for looking. dave

Never found an angled grease fitting on any A-body I have torn apart or dismantled in a salvage yard.

Thanks for that info, the only reason I ask is because a pair of the straight and a pair of the angled came with my ball joint set. I will get an additional set of straights to install.

The bolts that hold the steering arm are grade 8 and have M 96 (98?) stamped in the head, (could also just be a triangle) and are 7/16 x 2.5". There is a little step below the head. The nuts for these are clear zinc plated and are kind of beveled on top.

The bolt that goes in the big hole in the top of the spindle is pretty recognizable. It has a 7/8" head, and is grade 8 with a triangle between 2 of the marks. Bolt is only 7/8" long and 9/16" or so wide.

If you want all new, AMK products has a kit to completely assemble both.
