What bolt holes?
 

I am switching from 4 speed to auto, a TH400 to be exact, what bolt holes for the tranny crossmember in the frame? Is the driveshaft the same length. I know that the yoke is different. Thanks. The engine is not ready yet, so I am trying to do as mutch as possible while it is warm.

the crossmember slides back to the rear set of holes. The driveshaft lengths differ as do the yokes. Later ['71+] four speed yokes are the same as 400TH. The '69 Muncie yokes are the same as a 350TH. Good luck. Ron

Are you in need of anything else for your conversion? The reason I ask is that I'm doing the opposite conversion and have almost all of my AT parts still from my 69 goat.

Driveshaft on TH400 is shorter than 4 speed...(don't have exact measurements)...

No, I had to sell all the 4 speed to buy all the auto stuff.

Oh wait, yes, I need to know what set of bolt holes in the frame are for the TH400. ????

I think Ron is right. That is the way it is on my car.

What kind of shape and miles is on the tranny and trk converter? Thank you Randy, And what is the price on them?

Hard to say without opening it up, but I believe the tranny is original to the car. The odometer reads 37k. The way the rest of the car was when I got it, I'm assuming there's a 1 in front of that figure in reality. I bought the car as a semi-running project car, so I've never driven it to know what condition the tranny is in.

The engine was swapped out at some point, so I have no idea what the converter is. I'm assuming a worn out stock variety.

I also have the rest of the goodies: (pedals, tranny cooler, a very good original black console (no lid), a ralley shifter w/knob, drive shaft).

I've no idea what a used TH-400 goes for.

I'm doing the opposite conversion as well and will be looking to get rid of the following if you're interested in an OD tranny.

B&M Racing Holeshot 2400 converter
Pontiac adapter plate
TCI flexplate
Summit deep alum tranny oil pan
Driveshaft

Use the last bolt hole in the rear. There will be 2 unused bolt holes in the center and the next bolt hole will be for the front bolt.
