Heater not working!
Ive got a non a/c car. I was running the car for a good 45 min and had the heater on and turned to hot. The car stays at a normal temperature.Ive got good amount of air coming out but its not hot or even close to being warm. Any ideas what could be wrong? Thanks Jason

Thermostat stuck open. Grab the heater hoses and see if they are both hot to the touch. If one is hot and the other cool, the heater core may be plugged. Check coolant level.:)

You say the car is at normal operating temp so I would check the blend door and see if it is opening and closing properly. You can move the temp lever quickly and listen for the door to slam. Also check the heater core for blockage feel the heater hoses the inlet hose should be hot and the outlet hose warm. If car is heating up to normal operating temp in a timely manner and gauge reads normal I doubt a thermostat.

I just had one that the heater core was stopped up. I replaced it and heater runs me out of there now.

how do you know the car is at normal temps? do you have a gauge? same thing happened to one of mine a long time ago......barely any warmth from heater on full hot....stuck T-stat. actually, it happened to my regular car couple years ago, only it had a gauge, and i could see it was low on temps with no heat coming from the vents. |
