Optons for brighter headlights?
1969 LeMans - what is the best option for a brighter headlight. This one is going to be my "daily" driver. Thanks

Relay kit
Some people have used relay's to give the headlamps full voltage. Here is one example of a place that sells kits. You could save money by making your own setup but, (Mad) gives you a manual with there kit................

If you have not stepped up to a halogen bulb, there is a noticable improvement there. Proper headlight aim also makes a difference in usable field of view.

I think halogens would be the best bang for the buck. I'm almost debating putting some projector beams in my car, but that is a project best suited when the car is done.

I have halogens in my 69. It was a MAJOR improvement.

Run the headlamp ground wires back to the Alternator case.

I'm running halogens and relays.

Just having new bulbs makes a big difference, light bulbs lose brightness every year of their life

I'm using Halogen Headlamps in my '69 and it does make a big difference over
the original ones. Good headlight aiming is a must as well. |
