61 Wing Window Weather Seal
 

to replace the weather seals inside the wing window....

it's 2 piece, and it looks like leading edge seal (that wraps around the lower curve, has a hole that the pivoting post goes through. and it looks like the only way the pivot post can come out, is if the glass comes out of the glued-in channel.

is this right? only way to put in seal is to remove the pivoting wing window, and the only way to remove pivoting wing window is to pull the glass out of glued in channel?

I changed mine on the 61 Bonneville and the only way you can do a decent job is to take the whole vent window assembly out , totally disassemble it and make like are building up this component like it was built at the factory . This way you can give any needed attention to the vent window cank assemblys . It qiute involved but, that way you know it is done right . I also may add that the vertical weatherstrip thet the vent window closes against is held on by fold over metal tabs and the curved one is not glued in but is held i by kind of press fit into the channel
