any modern suspension upgrades for a '68 bird?
 

I am considering updating the suspension system while I have the car apart but am not sure what, if any modern suspension upgrades might exist.

Anything to make the ride a little bit softer and give the car better agility around corners.

right now I have mono leaf springs, front discs and rear drums.

There is a huge aftermarket for making the first gens handle better. The sky (and wallet) are the limit for what you can do.

Getting a softer ride and better agility don't always go hand in hand though...

factory rating springs and rubber bushings for a nice ride.

Front and rear antisway bar with poly bushings. Good shocks with poly bushings

A mild change in steering box ratio and effort

Good Eagle or BF Goodrich radials
