DTM Epoxy on the interior?
I am redoing my interior and the previous owner stripped it down to bare metal.
Should I use DTM Epoxy on it? I am going with a black interior, what amount of gloss should the paint be? Thanks Joe. |
I would use epoxy primer as a base. Top of the dash needs to be flat prevent sun glare from blinding you. 60% on the rest is what I normally spray..

Thanks Mike.
Is there any particular type of paint I should use? |
in the black package tray area on a coupe there is generally three peices of metal that get painted (black in your case) and they ALSO should be painted FLAT. They are the molding at the bottom of the rear window! eliminates glare, as Mike said about the dash board!

Slightly off topic but ...when I do some interior repainting work I'd like to match the red oxide colored primer used on floors, doors, back seat area etc. Anyone know of a product that would be good for this?
Thanks, JohnnyB |
Epoxy has little U.V. resistance so any areas that see exposure to the sun should be topcoated with something over the epoxy, or chalking will result.

I will topcoat all exposed surfaces.
Thanks for the responses. On a side note, How does Epoxy do over POR15. If I scuff the surface will it adhere well? |
