Engine swap ?

Will a 69 400 manual shift engine bolt up to a 72 TH350 without issues ?
Thanks in advance !

Any confirmations ?

Yes it will bolt up with no problems, the engine doesn't know if it's a stick or not.

As long as it is a BOP Th350 that is, if it is from a chevy you will need a adapter ( I guess you know that, but anyways..:o )

Make sure to remove the pilot bushing from the crank before putting the automatic behind the engine or the torque convertor will bottom out. :)

Good point about the pilot bearing !
I just seen to remember (and it might have been a Chevy thing) that the locating dowel pins were in different places for stick vs. auto. I just wanted to confirm that "Yes, it is a direct bolt-in" before I buy the 400 from my friend.
Thanks Guys ! ! ! !
