69 ra3 carb?

I am looking for some info on a carb for my 69 ra3 4spd gto. I have gotten conflicting info about what is original. Some folks have said all 69's have 8273 carbs and some have said late production cars have 9273 carbs. My car was built in the first week of May 69. Does anyone know for sure? It's going to be a pricey purchase so I want to get it right. Thanks, Bill

7029273 is correct for May 1969.

Which plant was your car built at ?

If it can be found - your original Buildsheet will tell you which carb came on it.
Not speaking of the PHS Invoice, but the self contained Buildsheet.

I don't have access to it anymore, but had a Buildsheet for a Mid-May Ram3 Judge from Atlanta. It was a 9273

69 ra3 carb?

Thanks for the info and quick responses. My car was built at the Pontiac plant and sold in Canada. Are you talking about the build sheet that is sometimes under the seat or gas tank?

I don't have a 69 Pontiac Plant GTO Buildsheet stored on this laptop.
But here is a 70 Pontiac Plant GTO sheet for reference.

Where the horizontal and vertical lines meet - of the red marker T - there is a box labeled CARB. The carb code is VB for this YS code engine.

8273 would be XX
9273 would be XB

Good luck and hope you find it intact
Let us know how it goes.

Be glad its not a 69 built in Baltimore, nobody we know has ever found the Buildsheet in one of them.
