Thanks for shining a light on these. Saw one I'd like to try. Less lsa than sd performance ones leads to peakier hp/torque curves and rougher idle but the 4/7 swap is supposed to help smooth out idle and crank stress along with making more power. Nice to have options and easy click buy now on the Summit web site.

I would also like to hear about any combos/comments out there with these camshafts.

If you are running a dual plane intake do NOT use a 4/7 swap cam. A total waste of money and may actually hurt your performance by doing exactly the opposite of what it was supposed to do for a single plane manifold..

Can explain more on this?

What about new gm ls firing order?

I have a Performer RPM and I'm interested in running the latest firing order as opposed to just a 4/7 swap.

I recently designed a HR for a low compression (8.3:1) 400. R/A manifolds, regular Performer intake, Q-jet, 4spd tranny. It was a 4/7 swap, small duration and rather large LSA.

It put 314hp to the wheels, and a broad power band.
