Power top cylinders

Can anyone give me a general description of the procedure to remove the power top cylinders on my 65 Lemans? Do I need to remove the back seat? Do I need to remove the top assembly? Also, does anyone have a lead on rebuild kits for the cylinders?

Rear seat & side panels need to be removed to access pump lift cylinders.
Top can be un-bolted and remain on car.

Might want to pick up a '65 BODY MANUAL it covers most Folding Top info;

x2 on the previous removable process. Save yourself a lot of grief and install new cylinders. All of these were filled with brake fluid from factory which typically leads to pitted pistons. Install new, flush out lines and pump. Pump is easy rebuild with new o rings. Replace with trans fluid. Your top and paint job will love you for the effort.

I've used clear power steering fluid in my cars for years .

PW steering also good, I just found it easier to see air bubbles with pink fluid when I was purging the lines.
