Just got these mounted up and installed, and I'd like to hear your comments, good or bad. And 'Vette haters, have at it!

Nope, never seen that. They look like the fit well. What size are they? 17x9? And I think you had to use a spacer to get the backspace closer to stock? They look ok, it's a tough call on an unpainted car. I'd like to see the car with paint and then decide. Maybe paint the wheels. :Peace:

They look pretty nice.

They're asking you to lower the car one inch or so to seal the deal. :)

They're 17 x 8.5 front with 245/45's, and 18 x 9.5 rear with 275/40's. And yes, 2" adapters are what made it all possible.

Thanks b-man. I'm kinda happy that I gained an inch of ground clearance for the headers, but I know what you mean, it would look good. I've still got to get the car running to check for real-world clearance. If everythings good I may well drop it an inch.
As it stands I still don't know if it'll make it out of the driveway without grounding out.

You asked for comment "good or bad". As long as you like them all is good.

I have the same wheels on my 71 T/A pro-tourer car. I posted an idea a long time ago about making them look very Rally II-ish by using a PMD center cap and painting the spokes onto the wheels.
Never did pursue it, maybe an idea for ya?

Here ya go...

That's a great idea, but I'm trying to have something different from a RII. I already made some custom center caps out of the 'Vette caps. Found some Pontiac center caps on an '01 Bonneville at the junkyard (they're on '01 and '02 GP's and GA's too), dremeled out the center, then epoxied the new one ones in. I kinda like the look with the "Pontiac" logo and the arrowhead. And the best part was that the guys at the yard let me have them for free.

JC455 08-27-2015 01:41 PM

That's creative! I like it!

HJones1313 08-28-2015 02:25 AM

Thanks John!

NeighborsComplaint 09-20-2015 08:19 PM

Nice. I like the caps too.

HJones1313 09-22-2015 12:14 PM

Thanks! I think I can do better on the center caps, I just haven't figured out how yet. The emblems are epoxied to the caps, and I doubt they'll ever come off, but they don't fit flush like the 'Vette ones. I'll probably find something different in the junkyard at some point.

Like 1ncAgain said if you like them go for it. Maybe be better if the car was painted????

HJones1313 09-22-2015 11:42 PM

Yes, paint would be nice.
