I used an AC Delco master cylinder. I would recommend you stay away from Cardone. I went through 3 new master cylinders in 2 weeks before I went with the AC Delco. I use Prestone Dot 3 brake fluid. I have had no problem with Wagner brake parts.

Replace the 3 rubber brake hoses. Delco made in china available at rock auto.

Dot 3 was factory installed in all makes and models for decades. I don't see any reason to change.

I figured everything made overseas. That's why I asked. Probably go to local NAPA.

Bob, does your car have the original master cylinder with the two bleeder screws? If so I would send it out to White Post Restorations to have them rebuild and sleeve it if necessary. They did an awesome job on the original master cyl on my car. They can also do the rear wheel cylinders, too if you are looking to keep all your original pieces intact.
