GM had 2 early names for that. Either "Kick Down Switch" or "Downshift Switch". They can be found under Group number 4.057 and one other number that I cannot recall at this time.

I guess I've found the switch on ebay:

...but I think it's not necessary to replace mine because my car is downshifting when kick down.
I just was not sure what this part is good for plus it looks kinda weathered so I thought replacing it is not a bad idea.

What year is your car? The one you posted is for '64. They are slightly different for almost every year. While you can use a '64 on '65 and '66 some wiring modifications would be necessary. If that is not your thing then I suggest you replace with the one made for your year.

Oh wow! I didn't know that.
Mine is a 1966 Bonneville 421ci.
The part on ebay looks identical as mine. You can tell by comparing both photos.

FYI: There is suppose to be a bellows style boot on that. It will cover your plunger shaft and make your switch look a lot better. Check the Ames catalog, he may sell them.
