LOOKING FOR PHOTO OF RAM AIR BATTERY CABLE ROUTING
 

Anyone have a ram air car that can post a photo of the positive battery cable routing behind the alternator mount to the battery? I installed RA manifolds and wiring harness and having trouble getting cable to battery. Seems to short.

No pictures or real world experience but there is a tube that mounts I believe between the block and the motor mount that the positive cable runs through.

Ames sells the longer battery cable and the heat shield tube that bolts to the motor mount.....I purchased them when I installed ram air exhaust manifolds on my 65 GTO

Yes. I have the tube(heat shield). I need a photo showing the route up the front of the block.

I ran the battery cable down along the the power steering pump bracket - I bolted a flexible u-hook to the bottom bolt of that bracket and secured the cable to that hook which holds it in place and away from and down under the exhaust manifold (enlarge the picture and you can see the shielded battery cable go through the hook)

On 1967 HO and RA cars the positive battery cable was longer and the two starter wires were also longer as they had to travel down the LH front of engine, turn and travel through an oval tube screwed to the LH motor mount to reach the solenoid. The engine harness was unique for these GTOs because of the large exhaust manifolds.

The ram air battery cable runs down in front of washer reservoir and there is a black plastic cable clamp at that point with a 5/16 screw. It then travels down and behind the power steering lines to the heat shield tube.
