What will it make?

Time to play what will it make (im putting the thread in street section because it will see quite a bit of street use)
4.250 stroke 4.380 bore
11:1 pump gas
Wide port e-heads ported by Butler touched up by SD flow [email protected] 2.250in 1.74ex (bought used).
Used ported Victor (somewhat matches heads)
1150 carb setup for pump gas
269-276 .750 112l/s cam
2 1/8 headers.
Hope to have it on dyno soon'ish

750 Hp with similar torque numbers at least.

PunchT37 01-23-2022 06:36 PM

Hmmm. Seems most to all would have missed on that 350 the other day. ;)

Gary H 01-23-2022 06:44 PM

I venture a guess of 789 HP and 725 torque

4dblnkldude 01-23-2022 08:11 PM

I'll go 738 HP and 760 torque.

If? You need to get on it, time is running out.

chuckies76ta 01-24-2022 04:07 AM

512 cubic engine. 810 hp 750 torque.

Five years later and now all of the sudden you are in a hurry. Funny!

I'll have them done before you can get pushrods!

Correct because i need the heads to measure for pushrods length

What size or Diameter push rod are you going with? Thanks

Biggest that'll fit. Won't know until we get everything bolted together. But absolute minimum will be 3/8 thick wall which due to supply chain issues are really hard to get right now.

johnta1 01-24-2022 03:36 PM

904 HP @ 6500 rpm

:)

dragracerx2813 01-24-2022 06:00 PM

810 hp

Mike Davis 01-24-2022 06:19 PM

855 with a small splash of Q16.....lol

steve25 01-24-2022 06:22 PM

What do you mean by saying that the intake somewhat matches the heads?
I could deal with the interface at the flange being somewhat smaller since that is a straight run and it does not even take the area of a wide port to flow 370 cfm, but you for sure need a good amount of added port area from the point in the manifold where the runners turn hard and from that point on up to the intersect of the runner and plenum.
I going to go with a what I think is a generous 770 hp , especially in light of only having 11 to 1 compression.

PAUL K 01-24-2022 09:45 PM

There is power to be had by deliberately mismatching the intake runners at the gasket flange on certain combinations.

Are you talking about having the bottom of the intake port a bit higher than the start of the heads so the air/fuel has a little ramp to jump off of.
