Phenolic Spacers
 

My car is a 62 GP with tri-power. I'm planning to put phenolic spacers under the carbs for heat isolation. Will that also require different tubes from the manifold to the choke?

What thickness spacers should I use, and who sells them?

I do,center is for a 61-65 intake and has a fitting for a PCV.Tom

Pontiac TriPower website listings for choke tubes 61-63 imply that different choke tubes may be needed for applications with the PCV spacers than for applications without PCV spacers.

As I remember when I added the PCV spacers on a 61 manifold I used the choke tubes I had with no problem. However, those tubes were probably from a 64 which is a slightly higher rise manifold and may have need the longer choke tubes.

I notice that spacers appear to be available in 1/2" and 1/4". Any advantage to either?

I have quite a few spacers, gaskets, and the choke tubes to work with raised carbs. I do have a few OEM spacers from the early sixties' cars.
