Is the kick down wire part of the dash harness ?
Colors or way to ID it.

Usually pink and orange two wire plug.
Plugs into kick down switch that mounts to pedal assembly.

Yes, part of the dash harness. Confirm what thepontiacman said. My pink had a dark blue? stripe on it. Connector is flat.

Ok then what goes to the trans ?

1 blue or black wire goes to transmission.

Wiring diagram will show where it attached to engine harness outside on firewall.

On the kick-down switch you´ll have a Pink Dubbel Black from IGN and an Orange wire to the bulkhead connector position A-Y and from the engine side bulkhead connector position A-Y goes a Black Single Orange wire to the solenoid connector on transmission.
