Headlight power
 
1979 trans am. Does anyone know where the headlight get power from ? Thanks

Essentially off the post on the rear of the alternator.

The front harness supplies power to the headlights. It connect to the fuse box through the firewall. Are you having a Headlight issue?

The fuse box is built like a receptacle. An inner and an outer.

Usually just a bolt or two removed from firewall side , and the firewall side of the wire harness will come unplugged from fuse box.

I lost headlights and some other associated things in my van once - without any notice.
Had some bad corrosion inside when unplugged harness from fuse box.
