Most Basic Setup

Is this the most basic turbo setup:

Logs
Single Turbo
Blow Through
With or without A2A
Manual boost controller
How do you control timing?

Thanks.

Just use a boost reference?

If you want basic and affordable go with Richard Holdener’s stuff. Single turbo will definitely be cheaper than twins. His G42-1200 billet wheel turbo would probably work great on a 400/428

budget wise, you would have to do it by rpm determining how much boost you are making at each interval. i think you would need an input to do it referencing boost and none of those listed are going to be dynamic.
Holley terminator EFI is a great set up with plenty of room to grow. its not cheap but neither is a grenaded motor

Yes, it is

Nothing is cheap these days but for timing control it would be cheapest with a BTM box..
You can find them used if you get lucky.

Run your WG spring and if you want more down the track you can get a solenoid to get more power with your manual knob controller. I don't like the bleed off knobs. Get the one from Treadstone performance where it adds psi to the top of the gate its more stable.

A single turbo set up would be great for the street, too bad it still requires a lot of fabrication work for Pontiac engines vs the plug and play offerings for Chevy and Ford small blocks.

Doesnt progression ignition have the ability to tube timing for boost? While I wouldnt call them cheap, they are reasonable compared to a seperate ignition box when you consider you have to spend money on a distributor anyway.

Instead of alcohol ( washer fluid) can you spray E85?
