76 headlight upgrade

So what's is a mid level improvement for stock headlights?

I got dapper LEDs for my birthday.

Pricey but work well with the stock sockets.

So many deert where I live, I need to see.

I am assuming that mid-level refers to price.
With the base being OE T3's.
The next step would be Halogen sealed beam replacements. $15-$20 (Most parts stores)
After that would be the Toyota Land Cruiser replacements with H4 bulbs. $20 (Toyota dealers)(Photos below) Probably the best bang for the buck but, they do require you to modify the headlight buckets.
Then Hella or Koito H4. $90-$150 (Daniel Stern or folks like Summit) May or may not require bucket modification.
I would avoid any of the LED stuff lights priced under $250 each. Most are poorly engineered, having bad light distribution and short life spans.
Above $150 each in my book would be high end.

I added these to my 76 TA a few years back. Happy with the results and improvement.

LED's for mine. Huge improvement in light & less power usage. I have all bulbs in my 73 TA converted to LED's.

Yeah, the lights do get hot. When installing relays do I need two for each side low and high beam? For a total of four.

1 relay for low beams, 1 relay for high beams. Doesn't matter if it's a 2 or 4 headlight system.
